Feel It Up, Asshole

Even though we enter and pass in solitude, surrounding ourselves with good people during the adventure is essential. If we don’t have good people in our life, we’ve got nothing.

And today, I feel exceptionally grateful for the good ones in this life and am finally learning to care less about the assholes. And there are lots. Always will be. And at one point, two or more, we are that asshole in the eyes of somebody out there.

Life Goal: aim high and try to minimize the all around assholeness.

3 Years Old With Truth

“Dear Aunt Jennifer,

Hi. Hello. And I wanna say, goodbye. I wanna love you!
Hi. Hi Jennifer. Bye. Goodbye. Hi.
I love you so much I wanna love you.
And that’s it.”

In transcribing this message for my nephew to his other aunt, I asked if this was everything that he wanted to say and if I should sign off, “Love, Tyler.”

His three year old response being,”NO! Love JENNIFER!”

A Letter To My Hometown's Shitsandwich Newspaper

Hello Bakersfield Californian.

In response to Leonard Pitts’ syndicated column, ‘Christian Terrorism’- Not A Contradiction, I am relieved to see that someone is discussing this dirty and dangerous Christian double standard that is alive and
thriving not just in “other places” but right here, in our hometown. I am constantly horrified and angered by the overwhelming “Super Christian
Values” that are openly and arrogantly displayed and accepted, even in “secular” places such as the popular restaurant that I work at,
where customers will often put Christian fliers on top of our tip money, display crosses on the end of their tables for all to see, and even openly pray at the table, interrupting our
service as waiters (we’re just trying to do our job)! Furthermore, the upsetting reality is that if a Jewish, Hindu, Muslim or Whatever individual or family were to do the same, PEOPLE. WOULD. FREAK. OUT.

Bringing to point, when news broke on the Christian militia in Michigan with their bombs and organized plans to assassinate police officers (HELLO?!),
not only was it a small article placed a couple of pages back in our local newspaper, national media outlets such as CNN, FOX, NPR etc. failed to even mention the terrible Terrorism word,
let alone slapping the CODE RED (MUSLIM) TERROR ALERT on every front page and news flicker.

Bravo to Mr. Pitts for opening a discussion that needs to be thrown into the public mix, because this extreme Christian hypocrisy does exist and it is dangerous.

Best,
Debbie Lewis

“

Some people see things that are and ask, Why? Some people dream of things that never were and ask, Why not? Some people have to go to work and don’t have time for all that shit.
